Average gross monthly earnings in the whole economy (excluding individual enterprises), EUR

Gross earnings are remuneration in cash covering the basic wage and bonuses, payable by the employer to the employee directly, including social insurance contributions and individual income tax payable by the employee. Material and temporary unemployment benefits paid irrespective of the source of finance, compensation for unused annual leave, severance pays and similar benefits are excluded.

Real earnings of employees in the whole economy as compared to previous year, per cent

Index of real earnings is a relative indicator showing the change in net earnings after the elimination of the impact of the change in consumer prices. It is calculated by dividing the index of net earnings by consumer price index.
