In February 2024, average gross (before employee tax) monthly earnings (individual enterprises excluded) in the whole economy amounted to EUR 2,101.1 and, against February 2023, increased by 11.8 per cent.

At the end of March 2024, there were 10,537 newly registered passenger cars, i.e. by 462, or 4.4 per cent less than in the same period in 2023, of which, 2,271 new cars, i.e. by 321, or 14.1 per cent less.

As of 1 April 2024, 166 thousand people were registered as unemployed. In March, registered unemployment remained unchanged and stood at 9.3 per cent.

In February 2024, compared to January, the prices for exported goods increased by 1 per cent, those for imported goods decreased by 0.1 per cent.

In February 2024, the volume of construction work carried out within the country amounted to EUR 313.3 million at current prices, which is, seasonally and calendar adjusted, by 1 per cent (at constant prices) more than in January, and, calendar adjusted, by 11 per cent more than a year ago.
