In IV quarter 2023, compared to IV quarter 2022, the number of tourists totalled 479.5 thousand and, against IV quarter 2022, increased by 3.7 per cent.

In March 2024, the number of dismissed employees in the whole economy amounted to 44.9 thousand and, against February 2024, increased by 3 thousand. The number of hired employees stood at 48.3 thousand, which is by 4.6 thousand more than in the previous month.

In February 2024, average gross (before employee tax) monthly earnings (individual enterprises excluded) in the whole economy amounted to EUR 2,101.1 and, against February 2023, increased by 11.8 per cent.

At the end of March 2024, there were 10,537 newly registered passenger cars, i.e. by 462, or 4.4 per cent less than in the same period in 2023, of which, 2,271 new cars, i.e. by 321, or 14.1 per cent less.

As of 1 April 2024, 166 thousand people were registered as unemployed. In March, registered unemployment remained unchanged and stood at 9.3 per cent.
