In September 2021, consumer confidence indicator remained unchanged

Statistics Lithuania informs that in September 2021, the consumer confidence indicator stood at 1 and, compared to August, remained unchanged. Compared to August, the population provided better assessment of the changes in the household’s financial situation in the last 12 months, more optimistic expectations for the changes in the household’s financial situation and the country’s economic situation, yet the residents intended to spend less on the major purchases. More

Statistics Lithuania informs that in August 2021, the consumer confidence indicator stood at 1 and, compared to July, decreased by 3 percentage points. The drop in the consumer confidence indicator was determined by negative changes of its all components. More

In II quarter 2021, the unemployment rate stood at 7.4 per cent

Statistics Lithuania informs that based on data of the Labour Force Survey, in II quarter 2021, the unemployment rate stood at 7.4 per cent and, compared to I quarter 2021, remained almost unchanged, while compared to the respective period of 2020, it decreased by 1.1 percentage points. In II quarter 2021, the male unemployment rate stood at 7.7, female – 7.1 per cent. In II quarter 2021, the youth (persons aged 15–24) unemployment rate stood at 19.4 per cent and over a quarter increased by 6.9 percentage points, over a year – decreased by 1.7 percentage points. Over a quarter, the long-term unemployment rate slightly increased. In II quarter 2021, it stood at 2.7 per cent and, compared to the respective period of 2020, increased by 0.4 percentage points. More
