The creative workshop "mieSTografika" organized by the State Data Agency has ended.

26 student teams from various higher schools: Vilnius University, Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, ISM University of Management and Economics, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Vilnius College of Technology and Design, etc participated in this creative workshop. Visualizations were prepared and submitted by 16 student teams.

The Jury of the State Data Agency assessed the coverage of the statistical information used by the teams, the applicability of the visualization developed, the statistical analysis performed and the visuality of the work. After summing up the results, the first place was won by the student team "PoRam" of Vilnius Academy of Arts, the second place – by the team "GISnieriai" from Vilnius University, the third place was taken by the team "Karlsonas, kuris gyvena ant stogo" of Kaunas Faculty (Vilnius Academy of Arts). According to the Jury's decision, the team "Dyzikai" of Kaunas Faculty (Vilnius Academy of Arts) will be awarded a special prize for creativity, and the team "DOOM" of Kaunas Faculty (Vilnius Academy of Arts) will be awarded for the idea.

We warmly welcome the winners and thank all the teams for their participation. We hope that the creative workshop "mieSTografika" has broadened students' knowledge of city statistics, its search and analysis.

Creative workshop is designed to promote city statistics and stimulate interest in them, to develop statistical literacy of high school students, the ability to understand and interpret data, and to improve information technology, graphic design and other competencies.

The creative workshop is part of the European Union project "Data Collection for City and Subnational Statistics" implemented by the State Data Agency.
