Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
Baltic States’ cooperation meeting
On 28–29 September 2017, Statistics Lithuania hosted the Baltic States’ cooperation meeting on regional and urban statistics.
The representatives of statistical offices of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia participated in the meeting. The participants shared good practice in implementing the projects on regional (including urban) statistics, provided information about data sources for the production of statistical information at regional level, estimation methods, availability of regional statistics, etc. During the meeting, use of GIS tools and infographics for preparation and publication of statistical information at regional and more detailed territorial level, as well as official statistics portals and future plans for their development were presented.
