Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
ESTP training course “Non-response and non-sampling errors in household surveys”
On 4–6 December, ESTP training course “Non-response and non-sampling errors in household surveys” is held at Statistics Lithuania. Representatives of statistical offices of 17 countries of the EU and enlargement countries participate in this course.
The course presents the non-response problem, causes and effect, as well as methods to avoid non-response in the surveys and estimation of non-response rate. The methods of assessment of statistical results and their errors in cases of non-response of questionnaires and input methods of missed data are discussed and practical exercises at computers are carried out. The course focuses on inaccuracy in sampling list coverage, errors of measurement and data binding and effect thereof on the statistical results. The examples from real surveys are presented. The course is based on the work of world-famous statisticians and the results of the latest projects of Eurostat.
