Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
Memorandum of Understanding signed between Statistics Lithuania and Statistics Netherlands (CBS)
On 24–25 February, Mr. Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi, Director General of Statistics Netherlands, and Mr. Marcel van der Steen, Chief Innovation and Strategic Partnership Officer, paid a high-level visit to Statistics Lithuania.
During the visit, an exchange of best practices concerning modernization of production of official statistics took place, followed by discussions on possible cooperation of both institutions, which could entail innovation strategy, advanced data collection, Big Data and information dialogue as well as communication strategy and process improvement, efficiency and quality.
To consolidate the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding, foreseeing cooperation in the above-mentioned domains, was signed between Statistics Lithuania and Statistics Netherlands.
