Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
Meeting of the Nordic and Baltic countries on agricultural statistics
On 27–28 April 2017, Statistics Lithuania hosts a meeting of the Nordic and Baltic countries on agricultural statistics. Representatives of Finnish, Swedish, Denmark, Norwegian, Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian producers of official statistics participate in the meeting. The discussion covers the novelties in agricultural statistics, preparation for the 2020 Agricultural Census, production of agrarian environment statistics, use of administrative sources data for agricultural statistics, implementation of the principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice, etc. New needs of agricultural statistics, implementation of existing and new requirements for production of statistics and the exchange of best practice are discussed.
