Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
Dialogue visit regarding calculation of general government deficit and debt
On 17–18 May, a dialogue visit regarding the excessive deficit procedure (EDP) statistics takes place at Statistics Lithuania. Every two years, the representatives of Eurostat together with the representatives of the European Central Bank and the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs review the calculation of the general government deficit and debt and related statistics in the EU countries. Data sources, process of the production of statistics and methodological matters are discussed.
This year, the meeting will be attended by foreign specialists and the representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Lithuania, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Central Project Management Agency and enterprises.
