Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
Study Visit of the Turkish Statistical Institute’s (Turkstat) Specialists
On 5-7 October, a study visit of specialists from the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat) is taking place at Statistics Lithuania.
During it, the register-based census in Lithuania and the current status of the census have been discussed, as well as registers for economic characteristics, the Statistical Population Register, which ensures compatibility with other surveys, and registers used for economic characteristics have been presented. Coordination of preparation of statistical information in Statistics Lithuania has also been discussed in order to ensure high-quality of statistical results and data, appropriate assessment of the quality of administrative data and quality of results based on administrative data.
This visit has provided an excellent opportunity for discussions, exchange of new ideas and practices, as well as for future cooperation.
