In February 2023 the minimum monthly wage is EUR 840, the minimum hourly pay – EUR 5.14.

At the beginning of the school year 2022–2023, there were 344.5 thousand pupils studying at the educational establishments providing education under general education programmes.

Based on provisional data, on 1 January 2023: the resident population of Lithuania totalled 2 million 860 thousand, i.e. by 54 thousand more than at the beginning of 2022.

Based on provisional data, in 2022, compared to 2021, milk yield on the Lithuanian farms increased by 2 per cent, while meat production (live weight) decreased by 2 per cent, the number of eggs collected – 7 per cent.

2023-02-03 Employment and unemployment State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) informs that based on data of the Labour Force Survey, in IV quarter 2022, the unemployment rate stood at 6.4 per cent. The male unemployment rate stood at 7.2, female – 5.6 per cent. The youth (persons aged 15–24) unemployment rate stood at 12.4 per cent and over a quarter increased by 1.9 percentage points.
