    It is forecasted that in II quarter of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, the sales revenue of non-financial enterprises increased by 2, the cost of sales – 2.4, gross profit (loss) – 3.4 per cent, while general and administrative expenses decreased by 4.4 per cent.

    The consumer confidence indicator stood at 3 in August 2026 and, compared with July, increased by 2 percentage point.

    Over the year (August 2026, compared to August 2025), the consumer confidence indicator increased by 1 percentage point.

    In August, compared to July, the population’s expectations regarding the prospects of the household’s financial situation remained similar: 24 per cent of the population expected improvement in the household’s financial situation over the coming 12 months, 10 per cent thought it would deteriorate (in July – 25 and 10 per cent respectively).

    In August, the proportion of population expecting improvement in the country’s economic situation in the coming 12 months accounted for 21 per cent. The share of population expecting deterioration made up 29 per cent.

    When asked how the amount of money intended to be spent on larger purchases, such as furniture or household appliances, will change over the coming 12 months, 29 per cent of the population intended to spend more than in the last 12 months, 16 per cent – to spend less (in July – 27 and 18 per cent respectively).

    61 per cent of the population expected to make at least some savings over the coming 12 months, while 10 per cent did not expect to make any savings (in July – 56 and 13 per cent respectively).

    In August 2026, the economic sentiment indicator decreased by 0.1 per cent.

    In August , compared to July, the economic sentiment indicator, that is, the overall confidence of economic participants (producers, consumers, and investors), in Lithuania’s economy decreased by 0.1 per cent. The services confidence indicator decreased from 15.0 to 13.4, retail trade – from 5.1 to 2.9, and the construction confidence indicator – from -1.2 to -1.7 per cent. The consumer confidence indicator increased from 1.5 to 3.2, and the industry confidence indicator – from -8.3 to -7.7 per cent.

    Compared to August 2025, the economic sentiment indicator increased by 0.9 percentage points. The construction confidence indicator increased by 10.9, services – 2.3, and consumer – 1.1 percentage points. The industry confidence indicator decreased by 1.1, and retail trade – 2.8 percentage points.

    In June 2026, the net turnover (VAT excluded) of service enterprises amounted to EUR 4 billion 398 million at current prices and, compared to May 2026, seasonally and calendar adjusted, increased by 2.6 per cent, while compared to June 2025, calendar adjusted, increased by 7.1 per cent.

    In June 2026, compared to the corresponding period in 2025, motor gasoline resources increased by 12.4 per cent, while crude oil resources rose by 0.8 per cent. Resources of electricity and road transport diesel decreased by 15.1 per cent and 3.1 per cent, respectively. Over the same period, natural gas resources increased by 22.6 per cent.

    Compared with July 2025, the volume of organic raw milk of natural fat content purchased in July 2026 decreased by 11.98 per cent, and the average purchase price declined by 23.42 per cent. In July 2026, Lithuanian certified organic milk purchasing and processing companies purchased 3,533 tonnes of organic raw milk (natural fat content) from Lithuanian milk producers. The average purchase price amounted to EUR 412.91 per tonne (excluding VAT). The average purchase price of organic raw milk was by 17.26 per cent higher than that of conventional raw milk. During the period under review, organic raw milk of natural fat content accounted for 2.72 per cent of the total volume of raw milk purchased in Lithuania.

    At the end of II quarter 2026, there were 32 thousand job vacancies for employees, which is by 1.2 thousand (3.8 per cent) more than in I quarter 2026, and by 0.4 thousand (1.3 per cent) more than a year ago.

    At the end of II quarter 2026, the job vacancy rate in the country stood at 2.2 per cent — the same as in the previous quarter and a year ago.
