The publication provides statistical information about the structure and demographic development of the Lithuanian population: birth and death rates, marriages, divorces, international and internal migration.

The main source of statistical information on births, deaths, marriages, divorces, international and internal migration is data of the Population Register of the Republic of Lithuania. The publication also contains statistical data from the Institute of Hygiene and state enterprise Centre of Registers.

Statistics Lithuania is grateful to the institutions which provided the statistical data.
