In 2022, compared to 2021, the area of hemp grown for fibre  increased by 10 per cent (5.3 thousand ha). The area harvested for fibre decreased by 18 per cent (0.9 thousand ha), the area harvested for seed increased by 19 per cent (4.4 thousand ha).

In 2022, the gap between monthly gross earnings of women and men in the whole economy, including individual enterprises, stood at 9.6 per cent and, against 2021, decreased by 0.3 percentage point. 

In October 2023 the minimum monthly wage is EUR 840, the minimum hourly pay – EUR 5.14.

In 2021, hydrofluorocarbons accounted for the largest share of combined emissions indicators - 512.5 thousand tonnes of CO2 equivalent, which was by 1.9 per cent more than in 2020.
In August 2023, the number of overnight stays in accommodation establishments totalled 1 million 206.2 thousand, or by 2.3 per cent more than a year ago. The number of overnight stays of foreign tourists totalled 381.7 thousand (by 16 per cent more), of Lithuania’s residents – 824.5 thousand (by 2.9 per cent less).

2023-09-29 Business tendency survey results and economic sentiment indicator In September 2023, against August, the economic sentiment indicator, i.e. confidence of economic actors – producers, consumers and investors – in Lithuania’s economy, increased from -7.2 to -6.2 per cent. The consumer* confidence indicator grew from -1.6 to 1 per cent, industry – from -15.8 to -14.2 per cent. The construction confidence indicator decreased from -13 to -15.2 per cent, retail trade – from 4.4 to 3.5 per cent. The services confidence indicator remained almost unchanged (increased from -0.6 to -0.4 per cent).
