Construction input materials and articles price index forecast for March – 119.7.
In 2024, the average monthly labour costs in enterprises of industry, construction and services totalled EUR 2,373 and, against 2023, increased by 10.5 per cent (EUR 225).

At the beginning of the 2024–2025 academic year, 31.6 thousand students studied in vocational education institutions according to initial vocational training programs, which is by 3.8 thousand (13.8 per cent) more than in the 2023–2024 academic year.

In 2024, museums received 5 million 945 thousand visitors, which is by 188 thousand more than in 2023.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, compared to the 2023–2024 academic year, the number of students studying at universities increased by 198 students (0.3 per cent), the number of students at colleges – by 45 students (0.15 per cent).

2025-04-09 Changes in prices calculated based on harmonised index of consumer prices In March 2025, according to the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which is methodologically harmonised with those of other EU member states, the calculated: average annual inflation, the same as calculated according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI), stood at 1.5 per cent; annual inflation (March 2025, against March 2024) stood at 3.7 per cent, the CPI-based one – 4.1 per cent. Annual inflation calculated based on the HICP was mainly influenced by an increase in prices recorded for heat energy, services of restaurants, cafés and the like, milk, cheese and eggs, tobacco products, spirits, package holidays, pharmaceutical products, meat, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment, beer, coffee, tea and cocoa, as well as by a decrease in prices observed for gas, electricity, passenger transport by air; change in prices for consumer goods and services in March 2025, compared to February, stood at 0.4 per cent, the same as calculated according to the CPI-based one.
2025-04-08 Changes in prices for consumer goods and services In March 2025, against February, prices for consumer goods and services increased by 0.4 per cent. This was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for clothing, milk and milk products, cheese and eggs, electricity, footwear, vegetables, telephone services, as well as a decrease in prices for fuels and lubricants, heat energy, non-durable household articles.

The State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) informs that based on provisional data, in 2024, general government deficit amounted to EUR 1 billion 6 million, or 1.3 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP). In 2023, general government deficit was EUR 507.6 million, or 0.7 per cent of GDP.
