Based on preliminary revised data, in 2024, the economic output of agricultural activities amounted to EUR 3,98 billion and, compared to 2023, increased by 0.3 per cent.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, compared to the 2023–2024 academic year, the number of students studying at universities increased by 198 students (0.3 per cent), the number of students at colleges – by 45 students (0.15 per cent).

In 2024, citizens of the Republic of Lithuania adopted 56 children (in 2023, 54), foreign citizens – 5 children (in 2023, 6).

Based on provisional data, at the beginning of April 2025, 2 million 889 thousand residents were living in Lithuania, which is by 0.8 thousand less than at the beginning of 2025.

In 2024, the crop area was by 2.1 per cent bigger than in 2023 – 2 million 243.4 thousand ha.
