In 2023, the share of single-parent families receiving social benefits, compared to all families receiving social benefits was 14.3 per cent (in 2022, 15.5 per cent).

In III quarter 2024, accommodation establishments accommodated 1 million 455.4 thousand tourists, which is by 1.1 per cent more compared to the same period in 2023. The number of foreign tourists accommodated totalled 508.7 thousand (by 7.3 per cent more), that of Lithuania’s residents – 946.7 thousand (by 2 per cent less).

In III quarter 2024, the average state social insurance old-age pension amounted to EUR 597.39 and, compared to the same period in 2023, increased by 10.8 per cent.

In III quarter 2024, against the same period of 2023, passenger transport by rail increased by 11.8 per cent, passenger-kilometres – by 20 per cent.

In III quarter 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, passenger transport by all modes of transport increased by 7.5, the turnover of passenger transport – 10.5 per cent.
