Specialists of the Statistics Dissemination and Communication Division today visited the Gymnasium of Ugnė Karvelis located in Kaunas district and delivered a lecture on Lithuanian and European official statistics to the 10^th grade students.

This year, Statistics Lithuania, together with 16 national statistical institutes, joined the European Statistics Competition organized by Eurostat. The competition is aimed at rising interest of students in official statistics. The first stage of the competition has been already completed. Students of the Gymnasium of Ugnė Karvelis also take part in this competition and have advanced to the second stage.
