Lithuania, together with its partners, has won the EU Twinning Program Project in Jordan


On 15 June, the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation announced that under the auspices of Statistics Denmark Statistics Lithuania, as a junior partner,  together with Germany, Italy and Finland (participating country), had won the European Union (EU) Twinning Program Project in Jordan “Strengthening the capacity of the Jordanian Department of Statistics to collect, analyze and report statistics in line with international and European best practice”. The Project, which will last for two years, together with partners from the above-mentioned countries, will be implemented by Statistics Lithuania.

The main objective of this Project is to assist the Department of Statistics of Jordan in implementing integrated administrative data systems for the production of official statistics in various fields, to strengthen capacity in the assessment of small areas, and to help develop a strategy for dealing with missing data. The European Commission is allocating 1.5 million Euros for the said Project.
