Within the framework of the programme “Statistics through Eastern Partnership (STEP)”,  on 22-24 February  2022, expert of Statistics Lithuania carries out a virtual workshop to support the conduction of population and housing censuses for colleagues from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Ukraine. This workshop aims at discussing the Legal basis, communication and publicity, dissemination, documentation, metadata and archiving and quality management different methodologies that are being adopted by European countries in the 2020 round of population and housing censuses, overviewing global and regional experience on the use of electronic data collection technologies (internet, CAPI, CATI, GIS etc.) in population and housing censuses. Experience of Statistics Lithuania (use of registers) has been presented. Case studies of the beneficiary countries related to the preparation and conducting population censuses in their countries were discussed.
