On 7 February, the Procurement Conference was held and the first awards for mostly digitized procurement processes by the contracting authorities were organised. Over 70 organisations were nominated and the awards were given in the categories of central government, municipalities, state and municipal enterprises, health care sector and other institutions. Three contracting authorities with the highest scores were selected in each category.

80 indicators showing digitization of the processes of needs identification, procurement planning, implementation of procurement and contract and the results thereof were used for evaluation of the contracting authorities.

According to Vice-Minister of Economy and Innovation Jekaterina Rojaka, these awards could contribute to the promotion of innovation and modernity in the public sector.
