Innovative health solutions were offered at the "Hospiton'2023" hackathon held over the weekend

On 10-12 November, the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) contributed to the hackathon "Hospiton'2023" held in Kaunas. The event was attended by teams of students, schoolchildren and professionals from various fields who tried to "crack" cholesterol: offering innovative solutions for treating people with cholesterol-related cardiovascular diseases.

In the “Data Connects the Dots” discussion, Julius Juodakis, representative of the State Data Agency, told how health "hackers" can use open data to find new connections, and, during the event, helped participants develop their project ideas. Among solutions created by the teams were new biosensors for measuring cholesterol in the body, and apps for tracking its levels, and even new modules for e-health and other public sector services.

We remind you that those who want to use health data for these purposes and not only can apply here, and for data opening – on the Open Data Portal.
