On 14 January 2019, Statistics Lithuania hosted a meeting with the representatives of the Lithuanian Disability Forum, the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania, the Department for the Affairs of the Disabled under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, Lithuanian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Lithuanian Welfare Society for Persons with Intellectual Disability “Hope”, the Lithuanian Association of Families with Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children “Pagava”, the Lithuanian Association of the Deaf, and the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee. The meeting was dedicated to present the preparation and dissemination of statistical information on persons with disabilities and to discuss the need of statistical indicators. Information about the Population and Housing Census 2021 was presented and statistical information on persons with disabilities prepared by other countries was discussed.
