Experts from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) of the Republic of Croatia paid a study visit to Statistics Lithuania from 15–17 October 2012.

The visit focused on the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP). In particular, presentations concerned the Lithuanian practice and experience in implementing EU regulations, production, dissemination and documentation of the HICP.

Specific technical HICP issues, such as the organization of the price data collection process and the compilation of the HICP (e.g. treatment of seasonal products, quality adjustment methods), compilation of the HICP-CT were also discussed.

Moreover, the work carried out in the field of the implementation of the house price index (HPI) and owner-occupied housing price index (OOHPI) was presented.
