Annual inflation calculated based on the HICP was mainly influenced by an increase in prices recorded for petrol, diesel, heat energy, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment, services of restaurants, cafes and the like, cigarettes, other fuels for personal transport equipment, spirits and liquors, plants, seeds and flowers, beer, meat, outpatient curative and rehabilitative services, as well as by a decrease in prices observed for second-hand motor cars, equipment for the reception, recording and reproduction of sound and vision, potatoes, other games, toys and hobby-related articles, bread and bakery products, electricity. change in prices for consumer goods and services in May 2026, compared to April, the same as the CPI-based one, stood at –0.1 per cent.
