In July 2026, the number of dismissed employees amounted to 51.4 thousand and, against June 2026, decreased by 8.5 thousand, the number of hired employees decreased by 7.9 thousand and stood at 54.9 thousand.

At the end of July 2026, the number of newly registered passenger cars totalled 17,090, that is by 2,924, or 20.6 per cent, more than in the same period in 2025, of which, 4,787 new cars, i.e., by 1,071, or 28.8 per cent, more.

In June 2026, average gross (before employee taxes) monthly earnings (individual enterprises excluded) in the whole economy amounted to EUR 2,602.3 and, against the same period of 2025, increased by 9.9 per cent.

In 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, the number of road traffic accidents increased by 0.4 per cent, the number of persons injured in them increased by 3.8 per cent, and the number of persons killed increased by 11.3 per cent.

In June 2026, compared to May 2026, the prices for exported goods decreased by 1.2 per cent, the prices for imported goods increased by 0.3 per cent.
