In August 2026, the number of dismissed employees amounted to 70.9 thousand and, against July 2026, increased by 19.5 thousand, the number of hired employees decreased by 5.1 thousand and stood at 49.8 thousand.

At the end of August 2026, the number of newly registered passenger cars totalled 15,048, that is by 2,595, or 20.8 per cent, more than in the same period in 2025, of which, 4,192 new cars, i.e., by 919, or 28.1 per cent, more.

In II quarter 2026, the total income of enterprises engaged in auxiliary financial services and insurance activities amounted to EUR 281.9 million.

In July 2026, average gross (before employee taxes) monthly earnings (individual enterprises excluded) in the whole economy amounted to EUR 2,674.9.

In July 2026, the volume of construction work carried out in the country amounted to EUR 579.8 million at current prices, and against June, seasonally and calendar adjusted, increased by 0.6 per cent, calendar adjusted, by 2.3 per cent less than in the same period of 2025.
