We kindly invite the representatives of the media to the media breakfast which will be held on 25 April 2024, at 9:00 a.m. We will present the results of the Survey “Pensions and participation in labour market”.

We will discuss how many people in Lithuania receive state social insurance, state or other pensions, which type of old-age pension has the highest number of recipients and how they are distributed by sex, as well as how many people choose to retire early, how many old-age pension recipients remain active in the labour market.

We will look at the main reasons why people aged 50–74 have chosen to continue working once they have started receiving a retirement pension.

The results of the Survey “Pensions and participation in labour market” will be presented by Head of the Living Standard and Employment Statistics Division Inga Daunaravičienė.

The indicators will be commented on by Dr Jekaterina Navickė, Researcher at the Social Policy Department of Vilnius University.
