Cooperation agreement with VILNIUS TECH has been signed

On 14 December, the State Data Agency and VILNIUS TECH concluded a cooperation agreement - a five-year commitment was signed by Director General of the State Data Agency Dr. Jūratė Petrauskienė and Rector of VILNIUS TECH Prof. Romualdas Kliukas.

The Agreement will provide for cooperation in the field of science, education and social partnership: in preparation and performing of research, initiation and implementation of joint projects, exchange of information, organisation of internship for VILNIUS TECH students, participation in scientific workshops and seminars, etc.

"We have been in contact with VILNIUS TECH for quite some time now, so I am very happy that we have established our cooperation in an official agreement this year. It is important to note that the University trains specialists in various fields (mathematics, information systems, IT, software engineering, etc.) who could achieve professional fulfilment in the public sector by creating added value for the state. We hope that the joint projects will give us an opportunity to present the students the wide range of activities carried out by the State Data Agency and attract their attention to join us", Dr. Jūratė Petrauskienė said.

By this Agreement, the State Data Agency undertakes to inform VILNIUS TECH about the need for specialists, to invite the University staff to participate in seminars and professional development courses, to organise student internships and study tours, and, when necessary and possible, to provide guidance or mentoring to students in the preparation of academic theses, to contribute to the improvement of existing study programmes or the development of new ones, to give lectures on topics relevant to the students.

Accordingly, VILNIUS TECH undertakes to inform the State Data Agency about new study programmes, to consider the topics proposed by the Agency in the preparation of study programmes and final theses, to send students to study tours organised by the Agency, to inform about scientific conferences, to invite the Agency to the Career Days, and to inform students about career and internship opportunities with the Agency.
