Among other priorities The State Data Agency strategy for 2023–2027 focuses on the 3rd direction “Ensure symbiotic partnership“, which envisages active participation in the development of the global statistics and EU legislative process, strengthening of communication and cooperation on the global arena / international scale, and sharing of best practices thereof.
22nd Baltic Steering Committee meeting
The 22nd Baltic Steering Committee meeting was held on 22–23 May, 2014 in Estonia. It was participated by director generals of NSIs of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, their deputies, heads of International cooperation and relevant experts. Statistics Lithuania was represented by Director General of Statistics Lithuania Mrs. V. Lapėnienė, deputy Director General Mr. R. Rimša and Head of European affairs and International cooperation Mrs. A. Miškinienė.
The meeting was devoted to discussions on topical statistics-related issues and exchange of best practices in different statistical domains. Lithuania made 5 presentations: Recent news and developments in Statistics Lithuania; Expansion of the Official Statistics Portal and archiving of historical statistical data; Population census cost structure; Cost structure of price statistics and Assessment of labour productivity and efficiency in Statistics Lithuania.
The Baltic Co-operation Action plan for 2014–2015 was also discussed.
Statistics Lithuania is responsible for hosting the next meeting in 2015 in Lithuania.
