At the end of 2023, the number of passenger cars registered in our country totalled 1 million 705 thousand, that is by 50 thousand, or 3 per cent more than in the same period in 2022.

In 2023, the number of deaths of the resident population of Lithuania amounted to 37,005, that is by 5,879 persons less than in 2022.

In I quarter 2024, 2,238 new residential and non-residential buildings were completed, i.e. by 11 per cent less than in the respective quarter of 2023.

In March 2024, the volume of construction work carried out within the country amounted to EUR 404.2 million, which is, seasonally and calendar adjusted, by 8.9 per cent (at constant prices) more than in February, and, calendar adjusted, by 11.2 per cent more than a year ago.

As of 1 January 2024, the number of cattle grown in the country stood at 623.5 thousand (a year-on-year decrease of 2.87 per cent).
