On September 21, Statistics Lithuania and Vilnius University signed a cooperation agreement in the field of scientific, educational and social partnership. Based on the agreement, the institutions are planning on initiating and implementing joint projects, cooperating in carrying out scientific research, participating in scientific conferences, organising traineeships for the students of  Vilnius University.

It is the second agreement between Statistics Lithuania and a higher education institution. Statistics Lithuania has already signed a cooperation agreement with Kaunas University of Technology.
