Seminar of the Lithuanian Statistical Society
On September 19, Statistics Lithuania hosted a seminar of the Lithuanian Statistical Society, entitled "Provisional GDP estimation by production and expenditure approaches: specifications, pseudoreal experiments", by Dr D. Celov (a lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Vilnius University and an employee of the Bank of Lithuania). The presentation introduced GDP modelling by expenditure and production approaches, discussed GDP aggregation methods. During the seminar, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and dangers of such modelling were discussed.
