Dedicated to European Statistics Day.

The European Statistics Day is celebrated by the European statistical community on 20 October every year. In order to highlight the importance and use of the official statistics for the society, Statistics Lithuania starts autumn with the events celebrating this day.

On 2 September, a seminar on sharing of good practices was organized for other producers of official statistics. The results of the monitoring of statistical information and production thereof, practical experience of Statistics Lithuania in implementation of statistical information dissemination policy and achievements and challenges related to the integration of statistical information of other institutions to the Official Statistics Portal were presented in the seminar.

Currently, in addition to Statistics Lithuania and the Bank of Lithuania, there are 21 other producers of official statistics in Lithuania. According to the Official Statistics Work Programme, on an average, 370 statistical surveys are carried out every year. The aim is to make all this information available to the society through one gate – Official Statistics Portal.
