2024-11-08 International trade in goods in September 2024 In September 2024, exports of goods amounted to EUR 3.25 billion, imports – EUR 3.43 billion. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin amounted to EUR 2.16 billion. The international trade in goods deficit amounted to EUR 176 million. Over the month (September 2024, against August 2024) exports increased by 1.3 per cent, imports decreased by 3.5 per cent. The increase in exports was influenced by an increase in exports of edible vegetables (2.2 times), wood and articles of wood (16.9 per cent), electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof (6.5 per cent). The decrease in imports was determined by a decrease in imports of mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation (26 per cent), organic chemicals (43.8 per cent), fertilizers (54.8 per cent). Mineral products excluded, exports increased by 2.6 per cent, imports – 2.2 per cent. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin decreased by 2.3 per cent, mineral products excluded, increased by 1.1 per cent.
