In I quarter 2025, against IV quarter 2024, the average number of employees in the whole economy (individual enterprises excluded) increased by 13.1 thousand (1 per cent).

In I quarter 2025, average gross hourly earnings in the whole economy (individual enterprises excluded) totalled EUR 14.29 and, against IV quarter 2024, increased by 0.8 per cent.

In 2024, 51.8 thousand people immigrated to Lithuania, which is by 14.8 thousand (22.3 per cent) less than in 2023. Last year, 18.9 thousand (36.4 per cent of all immigrants) citizens of the Republic of Lithuania returned to Lithuania, which is by 1.3 thousand (7.7 per cent) more than in 2023.

It is forecasted that in I quarter 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, the sales revenue of non-financial enterprises increased by 7 per cent, while gross profit (or loss) decreased by 4.5 per cent.

In April 2025, the number of overnight stays in the accommodation establishments totalled 735.3 thousand and, compared to the same period last year, increased by 28.1 per cent.
