Construction input materials and articles price index forecast for January – 119.6.

Based on the data of the Labour Force Survey, in IV quarter 2024, the employment rate of the population aged 20–64 accounted for 79.6 per cent and, compared to III quarter 2024, decreased by 0.1 percentage point.

Based on provisional data, at the beginning of February 2025, 2 million 890 thousand residents were living in Lithuania, which is by 0.7 thousand less than at the beginning of 2025.

In 2024, cereal harvest amounted to 6,197.1 thousand tonnes and, compared to 2023, increased by 3.3 per cent. The increase in yield was driven by a 3 per cent rise in productivity.

In February 2025, the minimum monthly wage is EUR 1,038, the minimum hourly pay – EUR 6.35.

2025-02-13 Changes in prices for industrial production sold In January 2025, against December 2024, prices for the total industrial production sold increased by 1.1 per cent, refined petroleum products excluded – 0.2 per cent. The overall price change was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for refined petroleum products (5.9 per cent), as well as by a decrease in prices for chemicals and chemical products (0.9 per cent).
2025-02-07 International trade in goods in December 2024 In December 2024, exports of goods amounted to EUR 2.62 billion, imports – EUR 3.27 billion. Exports of goods of Lithuanian origin amounted to EUR 1.7 billion. The international trade in goods deficit totalled EUR 653.3 million.

The State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) informs that based on data of the Labour Force Survey, in IV quarter 2024, the unemployment rate stood at 6.5 per cent and, compared to III quarter 2024, decreased by 0.3 percentage point. The male unemployment rate stood at 7.4, female – 5.6 per cent, and over a quarter decreased by 0.3 percentage point respectively. The youth (persons aged 15–24) unemployment rate stood at 13.1 per cent and over a quarter decreased by 6.5 percentage points.
2025-01-30 Main economic and social indicators of Lithuania 2024 The results of 2024 were positive for the Lithuanian economy – gross domestic product (GDP) growth was recorded in every quarter In 2024, GDP amounted to EUR 77.8 billion at current prices. Compared to 2023, the real GDP change was positive and stood at 2.6 per cent. The largest positive (1.5 percentage points) influence on the GDP change was made by performance results of enterprises engaged in service activities, however, positive results of the activities of industrial and construction enterprises contributed 0.4 percentage point each to the annual change in GDP.
2025-01-30 Gross domestic product first estimate In IV quarter 2024, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to EUR 20.2 billion at current prices. The estimate was obtained through application of econometric models based on available statistical data. Compared to III quarter 2024, the real GDP change, seasonally and calendar adjusted, was positive and stood at 0.9 per cent.

Based on provisional data, in December 2024, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises amounted to EUR 1 billion 902 million at current prices and, against November 2024, seasonally and calendar adjusted, increased by 1.3 per cent at constant prices.
