In IV quarter 2024, against the same quarter of 2023, labour costs per hour worked in industrial, construction and service enterprises (individual enterprises included), calendar adjusted, increased by 10.6 per cent, of which in business enterprises – 9 per cent.

In IV quarter 2024, average net monthly earnings in the whole economy (individual enterprises included) amounted to EUR 1,424.4 and, compared to III quarter 2024, increased by 4 per cent.

Based on provisional data, at the beginning of March 2025, 2 million 890 thousand residents were living in Lithuania, which is by 0.3 thousand less than at the beginning of the 2025.

In 2024, against 2023, cargo transport by all modes of transport increased by 10.3 per cent, the turnover of cargo transport increased by 3.9 per cent.
In IV quarter 2024, against III quarter 2024, the average number of employees in the whole economy (individual enterprises excluded) decreased by 4.3 thousand (0.3 per cent).

2025-03-10 Changes in prices for consumer goods and services In February 2025, against January, prices for consumer goods and services increased by 0.6 per cent. This was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for tobacco products, spirits, package holidays, fuels and lubricants, wine and wine products, beer, heat energy, passenger transport by air, as well as a decrease in prices for other appliances, articles and products for personal care, bread and cereals, footwear.
2025-03-04 Earnings in regions and municipalities In IV quarter 2024, gross earnings gap between regions was EUR 405 In IV quarter 2024, in the Capital Region, average gross monthly earnings in the whole economy (individual enterprises excluded) amounted to EUR 2,558.5 and, compared to III quarter 2024, increased by 4.2 per cent. In the Central and Western Lithuania Region, gross earnings amounted to EUR 2,153.9 and, over a quarter, grew by 4.5 per cent. In IV quarter 2024, gross earnings gap between these regions was EUR 405 and, over a quarter, increased by EUR 10.
2025-02-28 Gross domestic product second estimate In IV quarter 2024, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to EUR 20.4 billion at current prices. The estimate was obtained through application of econometric models based on available statistical data. Compared to III quarter 2024, the real GDP change, seasonally and calendar adjusted, was positive and stood at 0.8 per cent.
2025-02-28 Turnover of retail trade and catering enterprises In January, the turnover of retail trade enterprises decreased by 4.8 per cent, of food and beverage service enterprises – 3.5 per cent. Based on provisional data, in January 2025, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises amounted to EUR 1 billion 492 million at current prices and, against December 2024, seasonally and calendar adjusted, decreased by 4.8 per cent at constant prices.

2025-02-26 Earnings in the country Over IV quarter 2024, gross earnings in the whole economy increased by 4.4 per cent. In IV quarter 2024, average gross (before employee taxes) monthly earnings in the whole economy (individual enterprises excluded) totalled EUR 2,335.9 and, compared to III quarter 2024, increased by 4.4 per cent: in the public sector, average gross monthly earnings totalled EUR 2,629.4 (increased by 10.1 per cent), in the private sector – EUR 2,213.5 (increased by 1.7 per cent).
2025-02-21 Changes in industry Based on provisional data, in January 2025, industrial production totalled EUR 3 billion at current prices and, compared to December 2024, seasonally and calendar adjusted, increased by 4.5 per cent at constant prices.
