Methodology

The calculation on labour cost index is based on Regulation (EC) No 450/2003 concerning the labour cost index, Implementing Regulation (EC) No 1216/2003 No 450/2003 and Regulation (EC) No 1737/2005 amending Regulation (EC) No 1726/1999 as regards the definition and transmission of information on labour costs.

The labour cost estimation is based on Regulation (EC) No 1737/2005 amending Regulation (EC) No 1726/1999 as regards the definition and transmission of information on labour costs and described in Eurostat's arrangements for implementing Regulation (EC) No 530/1999 and Regulation (EC) No 1737/2005 and the Labour Statistics Convention.

Calculation of gender pay gap is based on Regulation (EC) No 1738/2005 of 21 October 2005 amending Regulation (EC) No 1916/2000 as regards the definition and transmission of information on the structure of earnings and described in the Development of econometric methods to evaluate the Gender pay gap using Structure of Earnings Survey data and Eurostat's arrangements for implementing Regulations (EC) No 530/1999, 1916/2000 and 1738/2005.
