In November at Statistics Lithuania were presented the results of the statistics and design workshop "Better statistics. Better view".

35 second-year students of the Design Faculty of Vilnius College of Technologies and Design with their professors Jonas Malinauskas and Jonas Liugaila participated in the event dedicated to World Statistics Day. Specialists of Statistics Lithuania helped the students to understand the numbers. During the workshop the students learned about the official statistics and designed information graphics presenting statistical messages in an attractive way. The work of students was a pleasant surprise for statisticians as their information graphics were picturesque and informative.

Specialists of Statistics Lithuania have chosen three best infographics – shadow economy infographic prepared by Laura Gubanovaitė, forests infographic prepared by Kristina Siebaitė, carrot infographic prepared by Jolanta Vareikaitė. The best infographics were awarded special prizes.
