In 2022, 80 per cent of households had personal computers, 88 per cent – Internet access at home (in 2021, 81 and 87 per cent respectively). In urban areas, households having computers and Internet access at home accounted for 84 and 90 per cent respectively, in rural areas – 73 and 82 per cent respectively.
As regards households with children, 97 per cent of them had personal computers, 100 per cent – Internet access, those without children – 75 and 84 per cent respectively.

Business
At the beginning of 2022, all manufacturing and service enterprises having 10 and more employees used computers and the Internet. Fixed Internet connection was used by 95.1, mobile Internet connection – 93.7 per cent of enterprises.
The Internet becomes faster: download speed of more than 500 Mbit/s was used by 30.5 per cent of enterprises.

At the beginning of 2022, the Internet was used for daily work at least once a week by 62.2 per cent of persons employed. The Internet was used for daily activities by 98.9 per cent of the persons employed in information and communication, and by 94.8 per cent of those working in professional, scientific and technical activities.

An increase in the Internet usage in manufacturing and service enterprises was recorded for all enterprise size groups: 63.1 per cent – in large enterprises, 61.9 per cent – in medium-sized enterprises, 61.2 per cent – in small-sized enterprises.

Mobile Internet on mobile devices
At the beginning of 2022, mobile Internet access was used for work purposes by 45 per cent of the employed. The mobile Internet was used by 78.1 per cent of the persons employed in information and communication, and by 72.1 per cent of those working in professional, scientific and technical activities.

Websites
At the beginning of 2022, 76.7 per cent of enterprises had websites: almost all (98.8 per cent) large enterprises (having more than 250 employees), and three out of four (72.8 per cent) small-sized enterprises (having 10–49 employees). 61.5 per cent of enterprises published catalogues and pricelists of their products on their websites, 22.9 per cent – offered an opportunity to order products or services via the Internet, 14.4 per cent – allowed the delivery tracking online, 35.4 per cent – provided links to their social network profiles.

At the beginning of 2022, 44.2 per cent of enterprises paid to advertise on the Internet: 70.5 per cent – in large enterprises, 50.7 per cent – in medium-sized enterprises, 41.8 per cent – in small-sized enterprises.

Meetings via the Internet
At the beginning of 2022, 38.3 per cent of enterprises conducted remote meetings (e.g. via Skype, Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.), mostly (91.8 per cent) large enterprises. 16.7 per cent of enterprises have ICT security guidelines for conducting remote meetings via the Internet (e.g. password requirement, end-to-end encryption). 54.7 per cent of large enterprises have such rules. 12.4 per cent of enterprises prefer remote online meetings to business trips.

Remote access
At the beginning of 2022, 80.1 per cent of enterprises indicated that their employees had remote access (via computers or portable devices such as smartphones). 78.2 per cent of enterprises provide their employees with remote access to e-mail system of the enterprise, 58.5 per cent – to documents of the enterprise (e.g. files, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, photos), 58.3 per cent – to business applications or software of the enterprise (e.g. access to accounting, sales, orders, CRM). 26.1 per cent of enterprises have ICT security guidelines for remote access (e.g. requirement to conduct password-secured remote meetings, prohibition of using of public Wi-Fi for work, use of VPN, requirements concerning privacy of data). 67.8 per cent of large enterprises have such rules.
