In 2021, 81 per cent of households had personal computers, 87 per cent – Internet access at home. Over a year, proportion of households having personal computers at home grew by 4, that of households having Internet access at home – by 5 percentage points. In urban areas, households having computers and Internet access at home accounted for 84 and 88 per cent respectively, in rural areas – 76 and 82 per cent respectively.

Almost all households having Internet access at home used broadband connection. 77 per cent of households having Internet access at home used broadband fixed wired or wireless connection, 67 per cent – mobile connection networks.

At the beginning of 2021, all manufacturing and service enterprises having 10 and more employees used computers and the Internet. Fixed Internet connection was used by 97 per cent of enterprises (in 2020, 93.4 per cent).


The Internet becomes faster: download speed of more than 500 Mbit/s was used by 28.4 per cent of enterprises (in 2020, 27 per cent).

At the beginning of 2021, the Internet was used for daily work at least once a week by 59.3 per cent of persons employed (in 2020, 54.5 per cent). The need to use the Internet is growing in all areas: from manufacturing and service enterprises to services sector. The Internet was used for daily activities by 68.5 per cent of the persons employed in service enterprises and by 45.9 per cent of those working in manufacturing enterprises (in 2020, 64.1 and 40.9 per cent respectively).

An increase in the Internet usage in manufacturing and service enterprises was recorded for all enterprise size groups: 57.2 per cent – in large enterprises, 61.1 per cent – in medium-sized enterprises, 60 per cent – in small-sized enterprises (in 2020, 52.8, 54.2 and 56.9 per cent respectively).

   Websites


At the beginning of 2021, 77.9 per cent of enterprises had websites (in 2020, 78.1 per cent): almost all (98.6 per cent) large enterprises (having more than 250 employees) and three out of four (74.4 per cent) small-sized enterprises (having 10–49 employees). 62.6 per cent of enterprises published catalogues and pricelists of their products on their websites, 18.9 per cent – offered an opportunity to order products or services via the Internet, 14.1 per cent – allowed the delivery tracking online (at the beginning of 2020, 52.6, 17.8, and 11.4 per cent respectively), 31.9 per cent – provided links to their social network profiles (in 2020, 30.8 per cent).
