At-risk-of-poverty gap

In 2020, at-risk-of-poverty gap stood at 23.2 per cent. It means that median disposable income of persons living below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold was by 23.2 per cent lower than at-risk-of-poverty threshold. Compared to 2019, at-risk-of-poverty gap decreased by 2.8 percentage points. In 2020, at-risk-of poverty gap in urban and rural areas stood at 23.1 and 24.5 per cent respectively. In terms of age, the smallest at-risk-of-poverty gap was recorded in the group of persons aged 65 and older (19.9 per cent); compared to the previous year, it decreased by 0.6 percentage points.
