Artificial Intelligence in enterprises
At the beginning of 2023, 4.9 per cent of enterprises used Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies: 2.3 per cent of enterprises used technologies performing analysis of written language, 1.4 per cent – technologies converting spoken language into machine-readable format, 1.3 per cent – technologies generating written or spoken language, 1.4 per cent – technologies identifying objects or persons based on images, 1.3 per cent – machine learning, 2.4 per cent – technologies automating different workflows, 0.5 per cent – technologies enabling physical movement of machines via autonomous decisions based on observation of surroundings.
Artificial Intelligence software or systems are mostly used for research and development (R&D) or innovation activity (1.2 per cent), for organisation of business administration processes (1.1 per cent) and for ICT security (1.1 per cent).
2.2 per cent of enterprises purchased commercial software or systems ready to use, 1.8 per cent – external providers were contracted to develop or modify AI software or systems, 1.5 per cent – AI open source software or systems were modified by own employees, 1.5 per cent – developed by own employees.
