Use of medicines
In the period of two weeks before the survey, prescribed medicines were used by 43 per cent of population, which is by 3 percentage points more than in 2014. Proportion of those who used non-prescription medicines, vitamins and herbal preparations remained almost unchanged (in 2019, 58 per cent; in 2014, 57 per cent).

More women than men took medicines, herbal preparations and vitamins that were not prescribed by a doctor (67 and 47 per cent respectively). Use of prescription medicines was more common in older age group, while use of non-prescription medicines, herbal preparations and vitamins was widespread in all age groups of population.
