In 2022, there were 224.5 thousand natural persons carrying out economic activity under certificate (self-employed) in the country. Unlike individual enterprises, a steady increase in the number of self-employed persons was observed: over a year, their number increased by 12.1 per cent, over a ten-year period – 2.1 times. In 2022, natural persons carrying out economic activity declared income of EUR 3.5 billion, which is by 23.2 per cent more than in the previous year. Over a ten-year period, their income grew 4 times.
