E-commerce in enterprises
In 2019, 29.2 per cent (in 2018, 25.7 per cent) of enterprises carried out e‑commerce, i.e. sold goods or services via the Internet or other computer networks. In 2019, 15.7 per cent (in 2018, 19.2 per cent) of enterprises sold goods or services on the website or via mobile applications, 14.8 per cent (in 2018, 10.1 per cent) – via e‑commerce websites. 16.4 per cent (in 2018, 19.8 per cent) of enterprises sold goods or services via the Internet or mobile applications to private customers, 20.8 per cent (in 2018, 16.5 per cent) – to other enterprises and public authorities.

In 2019, electronic networks were used for trade (to sell goods or services) by 29.2 per cent of enterprises (in 2018, 25.7 per cent). In 2019, 36.5 per cent of large, 29.3 per cent of medium-sized and 28.9 per cent of small‑sized enterprises sold goods via the Internet or by using the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technologies (in 2018, 38.6, 31.4 and 24 per cent respectively).

In 2019, the volume of sales via electronic networks of enterprises which carried out e‑commerce, compared to total turnover, made up 13.9 per cent and, against 2018, grew by 1.3 percentage points. The largest increase in volume of sales was recorded for information and communication (by 8.5 percentage points) and accommodation and food service (by 4.3 percentage points) activities.
