In 2019, there were 176.7 thousand natural persons carrying out economic activity by certificate (self-employed) in the country. Unlike individual enterprises, their number has steadily increased – over the year, by 4.7 per cent, over a ten-year period, 2.7 times. In 2019, natural persons carrying out economic activity declared EUR 2.2 billion income, or by 8.3 per cent more than in the previous year. Over a ten-year period, their income grew by 4.5 times.
