In 2019, gross agricultural production at current prices, in agricultural companies and enterprises, totalled EUR 725.9 million. Animal production amounted to EUR 428.3 million and, compared to 2018, increased by 7.3 per cent. Crop production totalled EUR 297.6 million (18 per cent more than in 2018). The increase in crop production was due to a more abundant harvest of agricultural crops and increased producer prices of agricultural products.

In 2019, sales income of agricultural companies (enterprises) totalled EUR 1.3 billion and, against 2018, increased by 9 per cent. Other (atypical) activity income increased by 7.6 per cent and amounted to EUR 61.2 million.

In 2019, gross profit of agricultural companies (enterprises) reached EUR 128.8 million and, compared to 2018, increased by 4.6 per cent. Profit (loss) before tax totalled EUR 5.9 million loss.

In 2019, selling costs of agricultural companies (enterprises), compared to 2018, increased by 9.6 per cent and totalled EUR 1.2 billion. Other (atypical) activity costs, in 2019, amounted to EUR 34.9 million.
